On April 27, 2023, a lecture-conference was held at the Department of Biophysics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Biomolecular Engineering of Sumy State University, attended by teachers and second-year students of the educational and scientific medical institute (58 participants). The report “Nanosafety in medicine in the context of the European Green Deal” was delivered by Ass. Prof. of the department L.I. Hrebenyk introduced the main objectives of the International Grant Project Jean Monnet Actions under ERASMUS+ Programme ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH EUNanoGreen – 101047940 “Responsible development of nanosafety as the contribution to the European Green Deal”. The report will be devoted to the main areas of activity within the "EU Green Deal" framework, the use and safe implementation of nanotechnology in medicine. It focused attention on regulatory aspects in nanomedicine and the need to develop methods of nanotoxicological research. The discussion focused on the need for ecological approaches in innovations related to nanomedicine.
