Associate professor of biophysics, biochemistry, pharmacology and biomolecular engineering department of Medical Institute Grebenyk L.I. together with the dean of the faculty ELITE prof. Protsenko S.I. participated in the III International Conference on nanotechnology and biomedical engineering, which was held at the Technical University of Moldova (m. Kishinev) from 22.09 to 09.26.2015, which was attended by scientists from 22 countries. The conference held a working meeting, which was dedicated to the project «Tempus BME-ENA» Implementing Master’s programs in biomedical engineering from the partner universities of Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia. The participants were the curators of IV project «Tempus BME-ENA» – representatives of the University of Patras (Greece) and teachers-scholars from countries participating in the implementation of the project objectives – Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Armenia, Belgium and Poland. Discussion of implementation results «Tempus BME-ENA» concerned curriculum development, difficulties of integration in the curricula of universities, prospects and first results of student learning masters in specialty “Biomedical Engineering”. Ukraine’s experience with the introduction and development of biomedical engineering at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and SSU aroused active interest and discussion. As part of the conference prof. Protsenko S.I and assoc. Grebenyk L.I. reported the results of research performed at SSU and relating to the synthesis and use of new nanomaterials in engineering and medicine.
